In lieu of my ramblings...

Here are a few items I've not been able to discuss yet today.

Backcountry Conservative points out the possibility or improbability of MCRD Parris Island moving to Ft. Jackson. The summer of '86 was one of the toughest of my life, and one of the best, it would be a terrible thing to close PI.

Lebonese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri has resigned, and while there is reason to doubt it, claims he'll not lead the next government. I may have to come back to this one.

The Evangelical Outpost has reposted a piece exploring the principles of libertarianism and Christian libertarianism. I will have to come back to this also.

Several bloggers have noticed the comments of John Martinkus, an Australian journalist and former hostage in Iraq.

“There was a reason to kill (British hostage Kenneth) Bigley, there was a reason to kill the (two) Americans (kidnapped with Bigley). There was not a reason to kill me.”
How are we supposed to react to such ignorance?
