A Spade is a Spade

For too long we have heard the apologist (whether they be sociologist, psychologist, or some other form of literati), suggest that the cause of Usama bin Laden's attack on the US and Western Civilization is hidden in our policy decisions, our support for Israel or our mere presence in Saudi Arabia. It is the same language as that UbL or any like-minded Islamist have used in Fatwa and propaganda for years. And it should outrage us all.

Victor Davis Hanson's article in the NRO notes that

"the genius of bin Ladenism is that to either applause or silent approval it promulgates lies that make Hitler's best perfidies seem mild. And such untruths do seem to galvanize an Arab world that is increasingly guilty of an inability to sort truth from fiction."

The United States, and Western Europe are suffering much the same way, as the Left is willing to believe any negative about our nation, and our leaders, in fact many seek to believe nothing else, while our history is turned inside out and our purpose is mangled into superfluous newspeak and humanist drivel.

War is not something we have wanted or sought. War came to us, evil is behind it. I especially appreciated Dr. Hanson's closing line:

"Sleep in peace, you ten thousand of St. Avold, and let us pray that we, the smug beneficiaries of your ultimate sacrifice, may still wake up from our own slumber."
